Hello, April

I ended up going with my older brother to that York Black Tie Gala event over the weekend. I figured he'd like to go, since he himself is a graduate from York. That, and I couldn't bring myself to find a date.

Well, whatever it was an amazing event. I got to take pictures with the President of the University, and with some dancers and I even got to meet Matt Dusk, which was pretty awesome.

It was a rich, formal social event. They had servers lined up with wine, and small snack bits and they had small tables set up, so you could effectively mingle with others around you. Very, very elegant. I would not mind becoming rich and attending these socials.

My work load has tripled. I now have two midterms lined up for next week.

I've paid off my debts, so I'm glad.

My birthday is soon arriving! My brother bought me a sick spring jacket from Buffalo. My best friend got me a Warhammer 40K C'tan Nightbringer toy model (and a bonus Immortal model!). It's a little early to be receiving gifts, but I won't complain. =)

Do I have any plans?

Well, no. I'm not the type to throw awesome birthday bashes. I did it one year, and it wasn't the greatest experience...

A quiet dinner with my family is probably all I'll expect.
