I did a number of things today, so I feel accomplished to somewhat of a degree. I finished reading Maus: My Father Bleeds History. It's a neat looking graphic novel based on World War II, using mice to portray Jews and cats as the Nazis. I've got lecture tomorrow on it, so I guess I'm on top of most of my readings.
I ended up playing Warhammer 40k at my friend's place last night. Lately, I've been getting the impression that my 'army' wasn't all that great. Last night I did some awesome damage against both my buddies and avoided a total embarassment. Fueled by excitement, I ended up base-coating the rest of my Necron 'army'. I'm psyched to build the rest of it.
Yeah, I know I'm going on with my geeky ranting (I avoid using the term nerd, as I find it refers to a more intellectual branch of individuals), but frankly it's all I've been preoccupying myself with lately. That, and it's all I can really preoccupy myself with.
Oh, and I blew the dust off my drum set. I've been playing more often now, and I'm under the impression that I'm getting better. How can I tell? Well, I hopped on my Rock Band drums and beat all my original high scores on Expert. That must mean something right?
Ahh, the weather's real nice. I think it might be a good idea for me to breathe once in a while. I think I'll take a stroll sometime soon.
Signed,
Rio
